ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW

Warriors & Quiet Waters (WQW) is a community of post-9/11 combat veterans and their loved ones serving post-9/11 combat veterans and their loved ones. We believe that every veteran has the potential to find peace, meaning, and purpose in their post-military lives. Founded by a combat veteran, 75% of our senior staff leadership, over 40% of our Board of Directors, and 100% of our Alumni Advisory Council are combat veterans and family members.

WQW empowers post-9/11 combat veterans and their loved ones to thrive and live purpose-driven lives through peak experiences in nature, meaningful relationships, and a sense of community. We accomplish this through our Built for More program; a 9-month long high touch program that ensures post-9/11 combat veterans address their physical, spiritual, social, and mental well-being, empowering them to reconcile their past, build strength and resiliency in the present and envision a purpose-driven and meaningful future.

Our programs are meticulously evaluated by the Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) at Syracuse University and have shown statistically significant improvements in psychological well-being, sleep, problem solving ability, belonging, and a sense of purpose. At WQW, we are committed to empowering veterans and their loved ones to thrive beyond their military service.

We know that veterans make America stronger. We envision a future where veterans not only thrive after their military service but also become pillars of progress living purpose-driven lives and fortifying the very fabric of our Nation. Through their leadership and continued service, they illuminate the honorable path of military service, kindling a flame that inspires the next generation of America’s sons and daughters to stand up and serve. In this way, our veterans not only enrich their own lives but become the cornerstone of a stronger, more resilient Nation.
